Jennifer was incensed. She wasn't my wife yet, and it wasn't my fault, but she was hot.
This New York Times article had said white zinfandel was "wine for people who don't like wine." In the wine cooler era of the late 1980s, white zinfandel seemed positively refined to the unsophisticated palate of a newly legal drinker.
But it turns out, you don't know it all at 22. A few years later on our San Francisco/Napa Valley honeymoon, we wouldn't dream of having white zin.
